Even larger! It will be moved around, transported, carried, dragged, packed and unpacked. It is in constant transfer. A work-in-progress where progress must be used in the most inventive, interconnected, even most dangerous way. The Song should be navigated through ignorance as much as awareness, through stupidity as much as sovereignty, through arrival as much as departure. Just as there is always an enigma with any departure, an anxiety about arrival and a thrill at travelling, the song is always deferring its own arrival whilst living out its own present. And like the song / the book / the archive / the museum is carried throughout the city, this transfer is open, negotiable and self-monitored by each traveller, each visitor, each occupant. And as chance becomes part of the process, the song is an expanded, postponed, delayed and deferred site in which it explores its own continuity. The song is surely a user’s manual for a potential life. Remember: the future only lasts a long time if you think you will not be part of it. The song / the book / the archive / the museum only happens somewhere else if you allow it. Found a minute to write you a letter. The intention is to draw attention to this kind of places and discuss new approaches and possible ways for expanded knowledge and new connections; an alternative map with new lines, memories and imaginary highways. We have an intention to explore, reconstruct and share knowledge about connections between places in the boreal zone which culturally and historically had much in common: a restoration of links that previously existed "crosswise" in this area. For various reasons, related traditions, stories and artisan knowledge in this region are at risk of disappearing. It’s a matter of importance to maintain, to learn from and introduce this heritage in new ways in the discussion and artistic context of today. We also want to challenge what we see as a strong urban norm in our time, where the countryside is the big loser. In this archive / song / book / museum thoughts and objects will suddenly find themselves in new company - geographically, culturally, timewise - spices, stories and memories will meet in a yet to be envisioned, a future landscape. BACKGROUND Raketa has since 2013 developed cooperation with authorities in the Arkhangelsk region, and has made several exploratory trips and exhibitions in the area, which have laid the foundation for the knowledge bank and archives - in the wider sense - as the starting material for this project. Central among the partners are Kenozero National Park, Artist Union Arkhangelsk and State Darwin Museum, Moscow. Raketa operates interdisciplinary collaborative projects and experiments in art, design, architecture and digital media. The Institute has existed since 2000 as an ongoing experiment, a laboratory - in - process. Raketa has within the group considerable expertise in architecture, art, design, education, research and music. We have over the years both been running large and complex projects and conducted some 100 exhibitions, seminars, talks, actions, rallies, public works and workshops nationally and internationally since Raketa’s inception in 2000. The collective expanded in 2004 with RAKETA _ PRESS, which has produced a series of book and film projects. THERE IS A VISITOR! # 1. R A K E T A / RAKETA _ PRESS aktiverar utgåvan VISITORS! THERE IS A VISITOR! # 1.
