QWERTY

QWERTY is an association of 10 artists, who have worked together over the past 3 years, with different types of exhibitions. Characteristic for the group is that they exhibit individual works with shared references. They work with a wide range of media, for example objects, video, performance, drawing, installation and painting.
At Supermarket QWERTY will work with the theme “man in 100 years”. An experiment of thought, dealing with the consequences of what will happen with the evolution, biological as well as cultural and technological.
The individual works will be manifested in an assembled statement.
A vision for the future will be worked out, taking a starting point in among others; Fassbinder’s “Welt am Draht”, Skinner’s “Walden 2” and Spielberg’s “Minority Report”.

QWERTY is a community of practice, which as a start is independent of art theoretical and ideological positions.
At the same time the dilemma between the individual and the collective expression is a subject of critique. One of the main goals is to respect and stimulate the individual members’ art work and simultaneously challenge and develop it, by making new conditions for it.
