Microwesten

microwesten is a dynamic artists’ network. We try to connect spaces, cities and people. The basic idea is that artists can support each other to gain publicity. The core of the constellation microwesten consists of a fistful of artists. By inviting other artists we broaden our own views and create a comment on our own art. The subjects of our shows are always in close relation to the exhibition venue.

microwesten started in 1999. Over the years a dynamic artists’ organisation has developed, and more and more exhibitions have been realised. In the last two years the participation in international art fairs, exhibitions and projects has increased by large. As a consequence of our increasing contacts, we have started to do exchange projects with other artist groups.

The artists profit from the exchange of views and can get into discourse with each other. They may reflect the new influences and integrate them into the ongoing project.
