Harrington Mill Studios

HMS was established in 2007 to provide affordable spaces for artists by Jackie Berridge. Situated in the centre of the UK in Long Eaton near Nottingham, HMS provides space in which a diverse group of artists practice and display their work. The studios benefit from an exhibition space for residents and invited guest artists and over the past 3 years an ambitious programme has been mounted. Seven of the eighteen members are showing work across painting, photography and installation. Jackie Berridge and Sarah Key show paintings related to ideas and images drawn from childhood; Paul Hirst and Sarah Cavani paintings reflecting aspects of experience in their locality; Sooky Huh and William Beed photographs reflecting nature and emotional landscapes and Lori Amor presents mixed media works.
