Nationalgalleriet, 25 years of age, is run by an artistic collective based on non profit and non commercial principles. The group unanimously decides what artist/show will be exhibited. The gallery does not have a specific artistic or ideological program, but tends to like artists with a bite, with an attitude, and is best known for its satirical group shows where absurdity is mixed with political and social comments. When it comes to solo shows the art is varied, from highbrow art to subversive underground.

DOPP I GRUMLIGT VATTEN / DIP INTO MUDDY WATERS
The show for Supermarket 2010 has been triggered by a debate article and speeches by the leader of the Christian Democratic Party, Göran Hägglund, who claims left wing artists and the culture establishment despise and look down on the ordinary citizen, the “Svenssons”, the people of reality. According to Hägglund we the artists are not only vicious but also have little contact with reality. The people of reality are to be found at the kitchen table where the family gathers to talk about real and ordinary things like taxation, school and the price of petrol. We dedicate this exhibition to our neighbours, colleagues and friends that are struggling to redefine reality.

Performance
Wenche Tankred and Lovisa Johansson is WOL - a visual, playful experimental performance duo, embracing elements of discovery and surprise.
Their ideas emerge from an interaction with different objects and artefacts. The duo explores and listen, and let the materials respond.
Guided by the objects and the audience, a loosely linear performance enfolds.
With the unexpected as an always welcome guest, the aim is to create images with multiple meanings that stimulate imagination and allow for different interpretation. WOL will appear in an unexpected place.

CFF - Center of Photography presents five thematic suites
– a selection of fifteen Swedish contemporary photographers.

Time and Documentation
The image suite presents photographers driven by the desire to tell a story through emotions surrounding identification, new contexts and playfulness.
Photographers: Emilia Bergmark–Jiménez, Thobias Fäldt and Per Kristiansen.

The Constructed Scene Room
The theme focuses around people’s relationship to time and space, to visualise and orchestrate memories and moods, dreams and reality, but at times also a sedate, burlesque humour.
Photographers: Nygårds Karin Bengtsson, Susanna Hesselberg and Johan Willner.

Glimpse – contemporary portrait
The suite shows a documentation of an interactive audio-visual studio by the artist community Glimpse. The result is a string of images and expressions in the form of imaginative contemporary portraits.
Photographers: Malou Bergman, Alvaro Campo, Nadja Ekman and Mattias Larson.

Nature and Transience
These works raise questions about nature and transience through a seductive interpretation of Linnaeus' sexual system and a series of still lifes linked to food and consumption.
Photographers: Helene Schmitz and August Erikssons.

Own Universe - documentary and staged
Here we are confronted with constructed surrealistic visual worlds as well as documented everyday details inserted into new formations, but also with questions about identity, heredity and existence.
Photographers: Helena Blomqvist, Julia Peirone and Pernilla Zetterman.

Brickworks is an artist run gallery for diverse art projects. Our activities vary a lot and are in constant metamorphosis. So far we have arranged exhibitions, studio-swaps, video art festivals, performances, experimental music, and more, and created different venues. In our own view the primary task is to show artistry we find interesting and important. The Brickworks creates within our own premises, but has also worked with Street in Stockholm and most recently at V.art.09 in Värnamo. Soon we will also come to work with the Grand movie theatre in Stockholm. We operate as a collective in building environments in which we highlight and accentuate other works. For Värnamo we built an apartment in which we showed a sculpture by Davíd Murua Martinez and video work by Daniel Andersson. In Brickworks we usually use each others’ networks to reach appealing artists. Until now we have shown artists from Germany, USA, Mexico, Denmark, UK and Iceland, but mostly from Sweden. At Supermarket 2010 we will present Jakob Eklund’s artwork “In the flesh”.

ArtMobile is a group of artists that run a mobile gallery in Västerås. In collaboration with partners such as Designtorget in the city centre of Västerås and Kreativt Centrum in a suburb, our aim is to broaden the audience for contemporary art. At the same time art is exposed in spaces not intended for art and new unexpected meetings can evolve. During Supermarket 2010 ArtMobile is presenting “Portfolio”, a project about collecting and organising work, and demonstrating the artists’ development. ArtMobile turns the portfolio’s two-dimensional and product-oriented presentation inside out by examining the impact of public debate, artistic dialogue, audience impact and cultural policy influence on how artists present themselves.

"Mentor" with Anna Granberg.
"Painting in the box" with Erik Bandolin, Tapani Björkbacka and Roger Pettersson.
"The artist and its portfolio in three acts" with Helena Burman, Christina Göthesson and Susanne Torstensson.
